Shatter This Mirror - Māyā

Burn this falseness with the flames of discrimination!

This playful damsel called Māyā (illusion).

Shatter this mirror of uncertainty, with stillness!

This bafflement caused by Māyā.

Cross this temporal river to reach the target!

This goal veiled by Māyā.

Crumble that rock of beguilement to dust!

Rigid yet feeble in the eyes of light, this rock called Māyā.

Charge this burglar out of your abode!

This deceitful, treacherous beauty, Māyā.

Resist her chains pulling you down, break them!

The devastating alluring chains of Māyā.

Nullify this agitation, this see - saw motion!

With silence sublime, else a kinetics of Māyā.

Tear the bonds of attachment with divine love!

This attachment caused by Māyā.

Replace the ambiguity in all of perception with placidity,

else a jiffy vagueness of Māyā.

Ah! Perceive the light, the eternal, through Jñānam and Viveka!

Else ever hidden and lost in Māyā! Māyā! Māyā!
